The town they entered didn't even have a proper name on Google Maps. It was pinned somewhere on the outskirts of Bawana and Bahadurgarh, where industrial plants dumped more smoke than product, and everything smelled like rust and unfinished roads.
Veer pulled into a gravel path behind a half-collapsed textile factory. Crumbling concrete. Tin roofs. A series of squat, one-room rentals strung together with satellite dishes and wet laundry.
